Acceptable Use Policy
These rules protect Shotwisp users, third parties, and the service. They apply to website use, uploads, shared links, captures, PDFs, and API requests.
Effective and last updated: August 11, 2026
1. Follow the law and respect rights
You may use Shotwisp only for lawful purposes and only for content, accounts, systems, and websites you are authorized to access and process. You must comply with applicable privacy, intellectual-property, publicity, consumer-protection, export-control, and computer-misuse laws. You may not use Shotwisp to facilitate another person’s violation.
2. Prohibited content and conduct
You may not upload, capture, generate, share, request, or promote:
- Child sexual abuse material, sexual exploitation of minors, grooming, or any content or conduct that endangers a child.
- Non-consensual intimate imagery, sexual extortion, voyeuristic content, or sexually explicit content involving a person without valid consent.
- Credible threats, instructions to cause serious harm, targeted harassment, stalking, doxxing, or content that unlawfully incites violence or hatred.
- Malware, ransomware, credential theft, phishing, deceptive login pages, malicious code, exploit delivery, command-and-control activity, or tools primarily intended to compromise systems or evade detection.
- Spam, scams, fraud, impersonation, deceptive commercial practices, or content that misrepresents its source or purpose.
- Content that infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, trade-secret, or other rights.
- Unlawfully obtained personal information, authentication data, payment data, government identifiers, health data, or other sensitive information.
- Material whose possession, distribution, or processing is illegal in a relevant jurisdiction.
3. Captures, automation, and network safety
You may not use screenshot, PDF, upload, or API functionality to:
- Access private networks, cloud metadata services, local devices, internal systems, or resources you are not authorized to reach.
- Circumvent authentication, paywalls, robots controls, access restrictions, technical protection measures, or a website owner’s binding restrictions.
- Conduct denial-of-service activity, vulnerability scanning without authorization, credential stuffing, password spraying, destructive load testing, or abusive scraping.
- Evade quotas, rate limits, billing meters, content controls, account restrictions, or security measures, including by coordinating multiple accounts or keys.
- Place unreasonable load on Shotwisp or third-party systems, interfere with other users, or use automated traffic outside documented interfaces.
4. Account and link responsibility
Protect your account and API keys. Do not publish secret keys or use an account obtained without authorization. Choose appropriate expiries, share links only with intended recipients, and promptly delete content that should no longer be available. A hard-to-guess link is not access control for highly sensitive material.
5. Enforcement
Northpin INC may investigate suspected violations and preserve relevant records. Depending on severity and history, we may remove or disable content, limit requests, revoke keys, suspend or terminate accounts, require corrective action, notify affected parties, or cooperate with lawful authorities. We may act without advance notice where delay could create legal, security, or safety risk. We consider context, intent, impact, and repeated behavior when practical.
6. Reporting abuse
Report a Shotwisp link or account through our contact form with “Abuse report” in the subject. Include the exact Shotwisp URL, the reason for the report, and enough detail for us to evaluate it. Do not send illegal content itself if a URL and description are sufficient. Knowingly false, retaliatory, or abusive reports may violate this policy.
7. Changes
We may update this policy to address new risks, service features, or legal requirements. Material changes will receive reasonable notice when required. This policy is incorporated into the Terms of Service.
